হুয়ালাই নদী, যে নদী এক লাফে পার হওয়া যায়

চীনের উত্তরের ইনার মঙ্গোলিয়া অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত হুয়ালাই নদী (Hualai River) বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে সরু নদী হিসেবে পরিচিত, যা অনায়াসেই এক লাফে পার হওয়া যায়।

এই নদীটির কিছু উল্লেখযোগ্য তথ্য নিচে দেওয়া হলো:

• বিস্ময়কর সরু: নদীটির গড় প্রস্থ মাত্র ১৫ সেন্টিমিটার (প্রায় ৬ ইঞ্চি)। এর সবচেয়ে সরু অংশটি মাত্র ৪ সেন্টিমিটার প্রশস্ত।

• কেন এটি নদী: ছোট হলেও এটি একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ নদীর সব শর্ত পূরণ করে। এটি একটি ভূগর্ভস্থ ঝরনা থেকে উৎপন্ন হয়ে ১৭ কিলোমিটার পথ পাড়ি দিয়ে 'দালাই নুর' হ্রদে গিয়ে মিশেছে।

• গভীরতা ও স্থায়িত্ব: সরু হলেও নদীটি গড়ে প্রায় ৫০ সেন্টিমিটার গভীর। বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, এই নদীটি প্রায় ১০,০০০ বছর ধরে একইভাবে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে।

• বুক ব্রিজ রিভার: স্থানীয়ভাবে একে 'বুক ব্রিজ রিভার' বলা হয়। জনশ্রুতি আছে, এক শিশু নদীটি পার হওয়ার সময় একটি বই ফেলে দিয়েছিল, যা নদীটির দুই তীরের মধ্যে সেতুর মতো আটকে গিয়েছিল।

The river that can be crossed in one jump! 

The Hualai River, located in the Inner Mongolia region of northern China, is known as the narrowest river in the world, which can be easily crossed in one jump.

Here are some notable facts about this river:

Amazingly narrow: The average width of the river is only 15 centimeters (about 6 inches). Its narrowest part is only 4 centimeters wide.

Why it is a river: Although small, it meets all the requirements of a full-fledged river. It originates from an underground spring and flows for 17 kilometers before merging into the 'Dalai Nur' lake.

Depth and stability: Although narrow, the river is about 50 centimeters deep on average. According to experts, this river has been flowing the same way for about 10,000 years.

Book Bridge River: Locally known as the 'Book Bridge River', legend has it that a child, while crossing the river, threw a book, which became stuck between the two banks of the river like a bridge.
