আব্রাহাম অ্যাকর্ডস কী? কেন “আব্রাহাম” নাম? 

আব্রাহাম অ্যাকর্ডস (Abraham Accords) হলো ২০২০ সালে মার্কিন মধ্যস্থতায় ইসরায়েল ও কয়েকটি আরব রাষ্ট্রের মধ্যে স্বাক্ষরিত একাধিক ঐতিহাসিক কূটনৈতিক চুক্তি, যার লক্ষ্য ছিল পারস্পরিক সম্পর্ক স্বাভাবিক করা।

চুক্তিতে যুক্ত দেশসমূহ

• প্রথমে সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাত (UAE) ও বাহরাইন

• পরে মরক্কো ও সুদানও এতে যোগ দেয়

কেন “আব্রাহাম” নাম?

ইহুদি, খ্রিস্টান ও মুসলমান—তিন ধর্মেই হযরত ইব্রাহিম (আ.)/আব্রাহামকে অভিন্ন পূর্বপুরুষ হিসেবে মানা হয়। সেই ঐক্য ও ঐতিহ্যের প্রতীক হিসেবেই এ নামকরণ।

• ইসরায়েল ও আরব দেশগুলোর মধ্যে কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্ক স্থাপন

• বাণিজ্য, প্রযুক্তি, পর্যটন ও নিরাপত্তা সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি

• মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে ইরানের প্রভাব মোকাবিলায় কৌশলগত জোট গঠন

প্রতিক্রিয়া ও বর্তমান অবস্থা

চুক্তিটিকে ট্রাম্প প্রশাসন বড় কূটনৈতিক সাফল্য হিসেবে দেখালেও ফিলিস্তিনিরা এর তীব্র বিরোধিতা করে। তাদের মতে, এটি স্বাধীন ফিলিস্তিন রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠার দাবিকে দুর্বল করেছে।
বর্তমানে মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের সংঘাত ও অস্থিরতার কারণে এই চুক্তির সম্প্রসারণ অনেকটাই স্থবির হয়ে আছে।

Later Morocco and Sudan joined

Why the name “Abraham”?

All three religions—Jewish, Christian, and Muslim—recognize Prophet Ibrahim (AS)/Abraham as a common ancestor. This naming is a symbol of that unity and tradition.

Main Objectives

Establish diplomatic relations between Israel and Arab countries

Increase trade, technology, tourism, and security cooperation

Form a strategic alliance to counter Iranian influence in the Middle East

Reaction and current status

While the Trump administration has touted the agreement as a major diplomatic success, it has been strongly opposed by the Palestinians, who say it has weakened their claim to an independent Palestinian state.

Currently, the expansion of the agreement has largely stalled due to conflict and instability in the Middle East.
