পৃথিবীর অন্যতম অতীব সুন্দর এবং রঙিন একটি পাখি হলো পেইন্টেড বান্টিং (Painted Bunting)। এর বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম Passerina ciris। পুরুষ পেইন্টেড বান্টিং পাখির শরীরে একসাথে নীল, সবুজ, হলুদ এবং লাল রঙের এক চমৎকার সংমিশ্রণ দেখা যায়, যা দেখে মনে হয় কোনো শিল্পী যেন তুলি দিয়ে পাখিটিকে রাঙিয়ে দিয়েছেন।

 পাখির রঙের বৈশিষ্ট্য

• মাথা ও ঘাড়: উজ্জ্বল গাঢ় নীল রঙে আবৃত।

• পিঠ: চমৎকার সবুজাভ ও হালকা হলুদ রঙের ছোঁয়া।

• বুক ও পেট: আকর্ষণীয় উজ্জ্বল লাল বা সিঁদুরে লাল রঙের।

এই পাখিগুলো সাধারণত উত্তর ও মধ্য আমেরিকায় বেশি দেখা যায়। এদের অসাধারণ রঙের বাহারের কারণে এদের প্রায়ই প্রকৃতির "জীবন্ত ক্যানভাস" বলা হয়ে থাকে।

Painted Bunting

The Painted Bunting is one of the most beautiful and colorful birds in the world. Its scientific name is *Passerina ciris*. The male Painted Bunting displays a magnificent blend of blue, green, yellow, and red plumage, creating the impression that an artist has painted the bird with a brush.

Color Characteristics

Head and neck: Covered in a brilliant, deep blue.

Back: A beautiful mix of greenish hues with touches of pale yellow.

Chest and belly: A striking bright red or vermilion.

These birds are commonly found in North and Central America. Due to their extraordinary array of colors, they are often referred to as nature's "living canvases."
