• দক্ষিণ ইথিওপিয়ার ওমো উপত্যকার আধা-যাযাবর এই উপজাতি মূলত নারীদের ঠোঁটে মাটির বিশেষ চাকতি বা 'লিপ প্লেট' পরার অদ্ভুত ঐতিহ্যের জন্য বিশ্বজুড়ে পরিচিত। মেয়েদের ১৫-১৬ বছর বয়সে নিচের ঠোঁট কেটে এটি পরানো হয়, যা তাদের সমাজে সৌন্দর্য ও সামাজিক মর্যাদার প্রতীক।

• পশুপালনকে প্রধান জীবিকা করা এই উপজাতিটি শরীরজুড়ে কাদার প্রলেপে সাদা-কালো বডি পেইন্টিং ও ব্লেড দিয়ে কেটে ত্বকে নকশা তৈরি করে। পুরুষরা বীরত্ব প্রমাণে 'ডোঙ্গা' নামক হিংস্র লাঠিযুদ্ধে অংশ নেয়।

These are inserted after the lower lip is cut when the girls are 15 or 16 years old, serving as a symbol of beauty and social status within their society.

This tribe, whose primary livelihood is animal husbandry, adorns their bodies with black-and-white patterns using mud and creates designs on their skin through scarification with blades. To prove their valor, the men participate in a fierce stick-fighting contest known as 'Donga'.
