যখন এমার বয়স ৩০, তখন তার বোন লিলির বয়স ১০। এখন এমার বয়স লিলির বয়সের পাঁচ গুণ। এখন এমার বয়স কত?

When Emma was 30, her sister Lily was 10. Now Emma is five times Lily's age. How old is Emma now?

সমাধানঃ/Solution:

 এখানে এমা ও লিলির বয়সের পার্থক্য ৩০-১০=২০ বছর

ধরি, বর্তমানে লিলির বয়স বছর x বছর

ফলে এমার বয়স 5x 

 দুই জনের বয়সের ব্যবধান ৫x-x=২০

বা, ৪x=২০  

বা, x= ২০➗৪

বা, x=5

সুতরাং লিলির বর্তমান বয়স ৫ বছর।

অতএব এমার বর্তমান বয়স ৫ X ৫ =২৫ বছর 

উত্তরঃ ২৫ বছর। 

Solution:

 Here the difference in age between Emma and Lily is 30-10=20 years

Let's say Lily's current age is x years

So Emma's age is 5x 

The difference in age between the two is 5x-x=20

Or, 4x=20 

Or, x= 20➗4

Or, x=5

So Lily's current age is 5 years.

Therefore Emma's current age is 5 X 5 =25 years 

Answer: 25 years.
